To enhance the start-up of Supervee Air Sports, If anyone knows of a flyable, nearly flyable, or in-storage ex Formula Vee aircraft that might be made available for sale, please contact Ed Fisher at raceairdesigns@hotmail.com, or respond on this site. Although we have a half dozen Supervees under construction or restoration, and #64 is proven and flying, we need more airplanes that are not going to still be in the shop a year from now, if we plan on getting competition up and running by next summer..... I know there are airplanes out there that need a good condition inspection, and minor engine work to be on flying status again......We just need to find them, and their owners....Ed F.

Any airplanes out there that need a Valve job and an annual?......I know of at least 4 former FV racers that are sitting, but save Dave Patterson's and Dave Stanley's, no one else has come forward wanting to be involved with a Supervee Competition, or is willing to communicate that they will sell..........Ed

Update......I just got off the phone with Richard Upchurch, who is hospitalized, and is ready to let go of #90 Jitterbug FV, and a V-Witt project, along with a Bonanza, and a Champ. Apparently, all need work to fly. He wants to sell all as a lump. He will not sell 'just the racers'. His condition does not allow him to speak very well, so understanding is difficult. If anyone is serious about trying to talk to him, email me at raceairdesigns@hotmail.com .... Ed

Update.....I learned this month that Mr. Upchurch passed away in June. With the family recovering from the loss, they contacted me about helping them sell the airplanes. I have a very interested buyer for the Sonerai #90, and will fill you in with the rest when the deal is finalized. One clue, the new 'owner to be' is well versed with the airplane from the previous FV days, and hopefully will be interested in flying in Supervee and Sportsman competitions....Ed

Yes, We are moving into a position that several racers could fly in the next 12 months.....We need, in my opinion, a minimum of three at an event or a display to call this a racing class, but obviously, 5 or 6 would be very colorful, and cool. I know that when three are available to be at one place at one time, I can get ourselves 'in' with the Barnwell, S.C. airport to hold a Supervee Competition. I may sound like a broken record, but we all need to work on these racers, to make progress for the future. Every single airplane is very important.....Ed

Chopperman.......From time to time, they come up....I know of some 'projects', but nothing even close to being flyable. The last one I helped sell was #90, A former FV racer, and it sold back to the original builder, a few months ago....Email me at raceair77@gmail.com when you get time.......Ed
