Another distraction. This thing is growing into a beast! .250 3"X6" is more than I had planned but a buddy had an old TWA engine frame so... Needing a reamer for my V Witt wheel cylinders is had to sleeve so got that working too. Quiet in here. Maybe I should just email Ed. LOL. Dave

Nope. Hard to post pics here. Sorry for rambling. Autocorrect messed with that a bit. I said I need to ream the V Witt's integral wheel cylinders after sleeving them. I will then turn new brake cyl pistons and groove them for o-rings. O-ring tech is it's own topic. The originals were not o-ringed but had the standard automotive seals. Those don't jibe with 5606. I tried. O-rings it is. The English wheel is the tool I'm building that's a distraction. Google it. I'll use it when the Midget Mustang build resumes as it will be fiberglass free. Dave

Got it....My dad built his english wheel, I bought mine. Formed many parts over the years. My last two Mongs had many formed aluminum parts on them............ What brand of wheel / brake cylinders are you re-building for the V-Witt?

Never been able to tell. Unmarked. They have standard spindles but have these cool ribbed drums. The cylinders are cast into the backing plates and their sleeves were badly pitted so I sleeved the sleeves.

Cool ribbed drums....?....sounds like the original 'Rosenhann' wheels and brakes....in the late sixties thru the early seventies many homebuilders were using Alfred Rosenhann's wheels/brakes...I believe that he sold out to 'Gerdes' / maybe.

That's more than anyone else around here knows. Maybe I can research them now. Wheel pants will obscure them and I don't need much in the way if brakes but I like the look. With the smaller pistons I'll turn and the 10-5 master cylinders I hope it's not real grabby.
