Well, did anyone else go? Last year I got to meet some FV racers and others on this forum. No FV/SV presence this year. t was a strange year for sure. Arrivals were backed up at Fisk while landings were relatively sparse. I had friends camping at other nearby airports for two days. Many complained of critical fuel. All the while it just want very congested in the pattern. That’s primarily why we go when we go and camp where we camp. I heard the arrival guys were saying things like, “...turn off your transponders and ADSB and look outside!” People were apparently flying by iPad and not maintaining separation and were being sent back to Ripon en mass. I tuned into Fisk once and actually heard the guy say, “You’re too close. Everybody is too close. Everybody go back to Ripon!” It was getting really bad. If the VWItt isn’t ready in time for next year, we might skip a year. Dave

I could not make it. Was intending to pull my RV trailer in for 2 weeks. Homefront obligations. Tom W.

Missed seeing you there, Tom. It was still a great week to camp and EAA is the best thing going. I have ongoing house work that is slowing my aviation goals here. TIme will tell about next year. Dave

Looked but never saw him. Of course the IAC tent where he was last year has “advanced” to only $100,000+ plastic planes for display now. But I might have even seen an RV at their tent. That’s marketing I guess. Dave
