I'd like to be closer to 60, but it seems I passed it up 3 years ago. I've got a Sonerai to finish, a Skylite to refurb, and a biplane to build. If I can still sit up after all that, I might build one more.

Ed, I am very interested. I have an "extra" rebuilt GP 1915 VW that I need to put into a bipe. I'd be very interested in seeing the basic side profile, power requirements, and projected weights of both when they are avaiable. Glad to hear you are back at it.

Ok, just read the EAA article on the Lil Bitts. That is some beautiful work, Ed. Great performance numbers, too - similar to my Cinquanta Hornet. Wonder if it would take the VW?

Yes....I designed it for a Rotax 503, Rotax 582, or a VW up to 2180...Only problem with the 2180, it's about 20? pounds heavier than I originally designed the engine wt. requirement to. But....I can tweak it a bit I am sure.

Ed,
Belated Happy Birthday.
You can always offset the engine weight with pilot ballast, chocolate chip cookies!

;D Good one, Lex. Flying is the only time I envy the short, light guys. At 6' and 200 pounds, we may not need to adjust much for CG, lol.
