Is this weekend!
My final preps are simply to check the torque on the heads and set the valves. The course is only 133nm and is still open for entries!

ugh, I want to get up there in the Culver to try it out! (I've got the S1 pretty torn down right now...I'll fill you all in on that later) It's about 4.5 hours to get there, then the race on Saturday, think it would be possible to make the trip back home to ATL after the race (home before dark)?

I see there is a C150 and a C162 racing in the FAC6 class, that would be some good competition for my old airplane. I could certainly use a day off work, I'll be watching the weather.

Not looking good for me to get out of Atlanta, hazy and overcast ceilings at 800'. 70% chance of thunderstorms all day.

Well, it was a difficult course in a mid wing aircraft. Only 2 of the 8 waypoints were airports and with no way to hold a paper and turn pages, I swung every turn wide but still managed to cut one turn. The average speed was 186.07mph.
