So, our leader, Ed has been gracious enough to loan some old VHS tapes to me for copying to DVD. I'm no pro but be looking for some new videos popping up on YouTube to give exposure to our planes, SuperVee, and sport flying. Dave Kansas City

Yessir…Initially, what I have sent Dave is raw, un-edited footage, Most of it taken by Bob Terry, Charlie , and Karen Terry, as well as myself, and David Myers(FV race pilot of #90 'Jitterbug'). There may be some footage by Bob Schank as well. Wanted them to all get credit for this stuff. There's a bunch of 'In the Pits' talking, interviews, airplane assembling….the human side of FV racing. Theres also plenty of actual race footage, some is excellent, some is so far away that you can barely hear the airplanes. I trust Dave will be preparing what is the best of whats there.. Next?….I have plenty more I have not sent him yet!!…..Ed

I hear ya, Jared…I still, to this day, get excited when I watch them…...One of the Videos that I sent Dave is a professionally prepared promotional video that FV hired out to Point five Productions. The video was designed as a promotional tool to excite air show sponsors, to include FV in their local airshow….It is clips of action, and a narrative that really excites the viewer. Giving credit to Point Five productions, they did a great Job, and I think, for those of you who have not seen it, you will love it….. And, the raw , amateur footage also has some pretty exciting moments, with announcer Jim Vliet spilling the action….

These are all the "intellectual property" of Ed and/or those who took the footage. Though only 25yrs old, the technology is not what we have become accustomed to seeing on our HD TVs. Man, I think of what my iPhone will do now! Nonetheless, it is timeless. I'll have to confer with Ed off forum but we could load the FV promo video anytime. I need to streamline my Youtube acct as Google really goofed it up for many. Dave

Well, the first one is up! This is the original uncut FV Promotional video. Ed made sure it was okay to use. Let's use this to point people to the sport and our forum. Let's also ensure the comments are positive and that we rise above and avoid debates there. Thanks to Ed for providing the film for posting!
Now off to work on my plane!

Hey, I occasionally chase hamburgers! It's just that before too long I'll chase them at 150mph!

I was able to get Albuquerque '88 down to about 8 min but that wasn't easy. I'll get better at these but hopefully it's enjoyable.

Very Good Dave!!…It sometimes seems like yesterday, not 28 years ago…You can see how technology has improved with filming!! There are so many memories of Albuquerque, heck, Just the trip out towing the trailer was an event in itself!! Some of the footage was shot by me, but most of it was taken by the Terry family, Bob Schank, who owned #20, and David Myers, who eventually raced #90….

That's fine, when I am certain who was holding the camera, I will mention their names…The way you did it is Great!! The whole team of FV did an outstanding job. I remember for a time, we were doing four races per year….The film ought to get people excited….
