First post. I thought I'd introduce myself. I bought Scott Plischke's Sonerai IIL from "Smokey" Ray last week. Its now in its new home at KAWO, Arlington, WA. I'm very happy to hear that there may be an S-2 division. If any of you are in the area, I'd be happy to meet up and talk shop, maybe have a beer or a meal. -Ken

Welcome Ken. Yes, if there is enough interest, a Sonerai 2 division of Supervee Air Sports will be created. So far, two S-2's have been issued race numbers. I have the master list, so if interested, what are your three choices for a race number? I will see what's available...Ed

Welcome! Glad to see you. Pick a number and jump on in. Appears to be a nice SII. Is it currently in flying condition? Dave.

Insurance on a Sonerai? What's that? Lol Dave Was going to get just liability coverage. But, they want me to get dual instruction "in-type". Anybody know of a 140lb CFI who's current in a S-2?

I insure our planes when they can be insured. I am building a single seat plane that will likely be the only one flying. I certainly don't want to risk others financially but other than training for my personal safety I could never be checked out in it or put in the 25hrs in type, etc. As far as the plane itself, it's a toy so I tolerate the potential financial loss.

Ken - welcome. I'm sure you've checked multiple insurance companies but if not Sonerai.net has a good archive of suggestions and comments on insurance.
