Here is my Cassutt 111m project! Currently she has an 0-200 motor and one day I would like her to be either an f1 or aerobatic competitor. Enjoy John. A

Hello Aeroracer, Welcome, this project sure looks like an old one a friend of mine had…..Looks like you could lower the headrest hoop a couple inches, that would really make the fuselage slick…..ED

Ed thanks for the welcome! This aircraft was owned by a mutual friend of ours. Andrew and I swapped airplanes.he now owns a 1950 pa20. Once the weather gets nice I plan on working on the racer. I plan on making the cockpit a custom fit for me, so I agree with lowering the headrest loop. John

John, YUP…Thought that was that airframe….Thats a great project for you, and Andrew is a good friend. You could probably add some aux. tankage to the airframe, and race it in SARL races all over the country. They have a Class that accommodates Midget Mustangs, Cassutts, etc, with Continental power. If you were to replace the 0-200 with a big bore VW, and add my booster tips to your wing, you could also compete in Supervee events….ED

Yes andrew is a great guy! He has helped me out so much with this aircraft. Depending on cost etc. I am toying with the idea of putting a vw motor on the frame. I can't wait to get her up in the sky and go.. John
