I will be typing up the rules on Ed's behalf later this week. I will send a general message to all members when they are up.

Will this be only a reassure ruin of the Sonerai 1 with 1600 cc or will there be Sonerai 2 s in another class?

rosborn....There will be three engine classes for single seat Supervees. Open not only to Sonerai 1's, but V-Witts, Renegades, Cassutt Sports, and original designs..... If there are enough builders and pilots of sonerai 2 series aircraft, there will be a class division for them....Ed

I would like to start a list of Sonerai 2 owners that would be interested in competing, It will be hard to plan for the future, and answer questions (like the previous one by rosborn) without this information.....Ed

Ed, I'd be interested, and I think there are a few more in my "neighborhood" who might also. Problem is, we're out here in Iowa, Wyoming, Nebraska and other parts of the region where opportunities for air races are about as rare as slamander fur.
However, I'm pretty sure we'd be happy to host a race locally and the facilities are very good here. Something to think about for the future.

Thanks, Tom....I have you marked as a Sonerai 2 builder willing to get involved, and note that there's a good possibility that you could host a race weekend......I am coming to the realization that this whole process of having Supervee Air Sports host events for straight line speed dashes, and outback x-country races, is going to take about 4 times as long as I had hoped. I will leave the light on, but everybody has to do their part to get it going.......We need flyable airplanes. If I could devote full time effort to get my two racers flyable, that would make a good impact....But, I have to win the lottery first.....Ed

Yes, it will take time - but I hope you will stick with it. Its taken me 4 years to accumulate the parts to build one airplane and I have about another year 'til its flying.

Chucker, Thanks for your interest…The Sonerai 2 list is small, but will grow I am sure, once we actually have a competition with sonerai 1's….You Tube will help us I am sure…At our first event, almost everybody attending will have a camera in their phone…..Ed

Were the rules ever written up for this?
Also I currently have a Sonerai II project I'm working on building. Plus seriously considering a Sonerai I that is closer to flying condition than my II.

I gave a preliminary rules set to Jeff, yikes ! in 2011 to put on this forum. I need to establish a rules committee to take what I have and whip it up into something useable. As Supervee grows, we need volunteers to help with these tasks…Ed

Seriously though Ed, I'd be happy to meet up with you and work on this at some point when things get going.
