I have one panel left. Its a replica of mine if you want to see the layout. Water jet cut with screw holes. $15 plus shipping. I love the layout. It puts the important flight instruments in sight as you are looking to the left over the wing to land. Hi Jeff, Thanks Jeff, that sounds like a deal. And good thinking on the flight instrument placement. I found a photo on the Airventurecup site, the panel looks good but do you have a better pic?

Yup, its changed a bit since then but close. I will post a pict of the current. Still uses the same layout other than the clock moved and a fuel flow is in its place. Another very handy device for cross country air racing...

It's in the hangar now. My neighbor came by while unloading from the trailer, helped me get the wings back on, then we looked it over for a few minutes, then we fired it up and taxied it up and down the road (it's ok to do that, airport community), lots of smiles. Looking at the logs and the weight and balance sheet has a handwritten note about S2 wings being installed? I may have to pull out a tape measure and see what that is all about?!

It looks like the wings are not exactly to the plans, each extended 6".

A two place wing would have more than 6" more span on each panel.....How many ribs in each panel?.....Can you tell if there is the 'S' mod installed in the top of the fwd spar?..Look in one of the root rib Lightening holes, and look for a spanwise Aluminum angle up into the top corner of the shear web, where it bends aft to form the flange the skins are riveted to...This angle is around 4' long..........Ed

Hi Ed, the S-mod is installed. There are 9 ribs in each (1 extra?), I'll have to look at the plans again and compare the rib spacing. It seems that the wing is to the plans in the first 48", but extended 6" at some point from there out.

The extra wing area, and aspect ratio are not a bad thing. We had about 18" more total span on #20, and it lost less speed in the turns than #77 did...'Course, #20 'Sunbeam' was light........Ed

I pulled the wings back off tonight so I could dig into the fuselage deeper (and faster). The construction of the wing spar, ribs, everything looks great. Much too good to even consider making changes in this area. The wiring harness is, well...interesting. Currently I am removing the excess and 'extra' parts, it must look worse before it looks better!
